Pop Princesses At Paris Fashion Week
After the disaster of Dior designer John Galliano and his ravings which threatened to overshadow the weeks proceedings, a new breath of fresh air blew into town in the form of Lady Gaga.
The pop star and teenage icon made her catwalk debut in Paris this week as part of the Mugler fashion show. She not only took part, she turned into the main highlight of the ready to wear extravaganza.
Wearing a sheer black top and her trade mark super high platform heels she took to maneuvering around the stage better than some of the professional models.
Lady Gaga made sure that everyone new she would be strutting her stuff, the previous day she left a message on Twitter for her many fans. The fans did not let her down and turned out in force at the shows venue, a gym in the eastern part of Paris.
The shock princess seemed very at home as she hit the gathered photographers with a succession of no holds barred poses while puffing away at a cigarette. The Lady later re-emerged onto the catwalk wearing a completely all white outfit and what appeared to be a lampshade on her head.
Another notable pop star who was attending the spring fashion week was Rhianna who turned up at the Balmain Collection by Christophe Decarnin. Rhianna must have known something as she wore a black buttoned sleeved blazer, Decarnin was bringing back the blazer and it was one item that featured prominently among the designers collection, many females in the audience were quick to welcome it back.
The collection had a strong influence of suits, with trousersuits, jackets, catsuits, and blouses heavily to the fore.
